| This is a collection of 1,077 Soil Survey Maps produced from 1899 to 1922 by the U.S Department of Agriculture. The vast majority of the maps are a a scale of one inch equals one mile (1:63,360). While the methodology for classification of the soils is obsolete, these maps are rich in cultural detail. The maps are provided courtesy of the Geological Survey of Alabama. |
